Cooking “à point” with high-tech features: the new Bosch Series 8 ovens with PerfectBake sensor and PerfectRoast meat probe.
An extraordinary series of ovens with many innovative features and combined appliances:
- Ovens with a steam injection function and microwave, as well as ovens with integrated steamers.
- The perfect results when baking or roasting using the most modern sensor technology and a new kind of hot air system
- Easy operation due to its innovative control concept and highly developed Bosch Assist system
“What demands must the perfect oven meet today?” This is a question that home appliance specialist Bosch asks itself and its consumers time and time again. The answers flow into the products that are developed directly for core consumers and their lifestyle habits. This applies especially to the new Bosch Series 8 ovens that are available at Oxford House.
“Our new flagship appliance is a technologically advanced response to two of the most important consumer requirements,” says Bosch CEO Harald Friedrich. “It fulfills the desire for perfect cooking results and the need to be as easy to operate as possible. With their broad array of technical functions and simple operating features, the Series 8 ovens direct the user to the shortest possible path to results that leave nothing to be desired.”
Perfect roasting and baking
In other words, more than anything else, there are three stand-out features that enable the new Bosch appliances to produce perfect baking and roasting results – the PerfectBake sensor, the PerfectRoast meat probe and the new 4D hot air system. The patented PerfectBake sensor permanently measures the moisture level of the baked items and automatically adjusts the baking process. If the dish has finished baking, the oven switches itself off independently. The result is that all dishes, from cakes to bread and quiches, are cooked absolutely perfectly. Simply select the dish and press “Start”. The new Series 8 oven takes care of the rest by itself with its PerfectBake sensor. The new ovens offer yet another unique selling point: the PerfectRoast meat probe, which perfects the preparation of meat, poultry and fish by measuring its core temperature. The advanced variant from Bosch does not only monitor the temperature at one single point, but rather at three different points. This eliminates incorrect values due, for example, to temperatures taken in the bone or in meat filling, cooking your roast perfectly “à point”.
Perfect results in every situation: 4D hot air, steam and microwave functions all integrated into one appliance
The Series 8 ovens additionally feature a newly developed 4D hot air system. In this system, the hot air is distributed evenly throughout the oven using a new kind of fan wheel that rotates in both directions alternately. Unlike conventional ovens, this ensures that the user no longer has to take the time to research the correct shelf position to achieve outstanding cooking results. The new Series 8 ovens always get it right, regardless of which of the shelf positions from 1 to 4 is chosen. The fan wheel is powered by the especially quiet and efficient motor, the EcoSilence Drive.
One particularly noteworthy highlight is the new steam injection function, which guarantees that the food will be crispy on the outside and yet succulent in the center. And if food just won’t cook quickly enough on occasions, the integrated microwave can be switched on easily for most heating modes. This can reduce the cooking time of the dishes by up to 50%. Anyone who isn’t satisfied with this wealth of options for food preparation should opt for the Series 8 steam combination ovens. They integrate a fully-fledged steamer and permit the user to choose between combined steam operation (hot air with steam injection) and standard steam operation.
Even simpler to use: the reliable kitchen assistant
In order to fully exhaust its innovative potential, Bosch has equipped its built-in ovens with an innovative control concept and a very intuitive, easy-to-use operating ring. “We gave the operating ring a precise, haptic touch panel,” explains Matthias Rüder, Product Manager for Stoves. “It can be precisely controlled with a minimum of pressure. The ring moves easily and reliably through the intuitive menu system and – if desired – through Bosch Assist.” The Bosch Assist permits both experienced cooks as well as beginners to achieve outstanding results at the touch of a button. In the process, only minimal information on the meal – e.g. roasting or baking – is necessary: The appliance then independently selects the type of preparation that achieves the best result when baking or roasting. There really is no easier way to achieve the perfect results. The Bosch Assist automatically activates either the PerfectBake sensor, or gives a recommendation for a suitable heating type or the use of the PerfectRoast meat probe. This makes the Series 8 appliances a reliable kitchen assistant for any cook, allowing even the most ambitious amateur chefs to concentrate on the creative end of the cooking and baking process. Like a head chef, users can delegate certain duties to their sous chef, the Bosch Assist. And thanks to the integrated pyrolysis function, cleaning the oven after baking and roasting no longer poses a problem.
Efficient, elegant, network-capable
With all these features, the new flagship ovens are also very energy-efficient. “For our consumers, energy efficiency remains an important purchasing criterion that all of our appliances naturally meet – for example, with economical LED lighting or low-friction, highly efficient motors such as the EcoSilence Drive,” emphasises Harald Friedrich. Yet other features are more decisive when it comes to satisfaction with an appliance throughout years of use. Besides good cooking results when baking or roasting and its user-friendliness, design is also a contributing factor. The new oven impresses with its precision workmanship and a design which takes even the smallest detail into account. The combination of high-quality stainless steel panels, the integrated operating ring and glass lends the kitchen a sense of modernity and quality. Elegant border strips made from high-quality stainless steel ensure a harmonious appearance, in particular when appliances are installed alongside each other. Design purists will be delighted by the variants with a fully glass front panel, available in volcano black and polar white.
Yet another feature that Bosch did not miss – and a timely one requested by consumers: Several variants of the Series 8 oven are network-capable and can be controlled remotely via WLAN using a mobile device app for either tablet PC or smartphone.
