A band of thieves have managed to nab over 40,000 devices, from a Samsung factory in Brazil, worth over $36 Million (approx. 26.5 Million Euros).

In this daring heist, the thieves hijacked a shuttle vehicle transporting workers to the plant. They held workers hostage, and went as far as disposing of their phone’s batteries, to avoid the local authorities to be alerted. The thieves fled the scene with over 40,000 laptops, smartphones, and tablets, and up till now authorities have no suspects.

Both Samsung and the Brazillian Police, suspect the involvement of one or more factory employees, who helped them from the inside. The chances of getting those devices back are slim to none, and due to this inside help, the safety of the plant is in jeopardy.
