Rumours of the next OnePlus device, the OnePlus 6 have been hitting our news feeds non stop for the past 3 months.

We now know what it is set to look like too! Boasting three colour variants, one of which we have never seen on a OnePlus device, blue. The team behind OnePlus also disclosed that they will be working with Marvel to bring an Avenger themed model to life for Marvel enthusiasts.

The device is set to launch before the end of the second quarter of this year. Which could very well mean we will see this new flagship phone at the end of this month, or at the beginning of next month.

OnePlus 6 alleged leak 2 colour variants

The OnePlus 6 is set to sport an edge-to-edge display, along with an iPhone X style notch. CEO Pete Lau felt the need to justify why the notch is there. The reasoning behind the notch is that in order to house the front camera, earpiece, ambient light sensor and LED notification light, a notch is currently needed. The addition of the notch and new edge-to-edge display technology will give you around 0.27″ of extra screen size, from the previous OnePlus 5T.

The Specifics

The flagship phone is set to be running on the Snapdragon 845 SoC, along with 8GB of RAM. Rumour has it that there will also be a version with 256GB of inbuilt storage. This version of OnePlus also got a slight battery capacity boost up to 3450mAh from 3300mAh. The upcoming flagship is also set to come preloaded with Android 8.1. No details on any software or hardware upgrade with regards to the camera have been leaked or given out to the public yet.
