3D printers are becoming very popular nowadays, however, properly using one can be very tricky for the inexperienced, and impossible for young children. But Mission Street are aiming to release a 3D printer targeted at children by the end of this year. Printeer only needs basic drawing skills and an Apple ipad as it’s interface. The printer itself is child friendly, using only non toxic plastic materials and having all heating components fully covered. The printer also features transparent panels, which allow kids to see how the device works, and what each component is doing.
Mission Street hope to reach their funding goal on Kickstarter, and introduce this device in schools to teach the basics of art and design by November.
