Remember the Hitch-hiking robot which had to cross Canada with the help of kind hearted humans? Well it looks like Hitchbot arrived at his destination last weekend, and he has a cool compilation of images to show for it.
During the 4000 mile journey, which started at the end of July, the robot hitched rides from strangers, who interacted with the android and took pictures with it. The robot’s body was slightly damaged during the trip, but it clearly managed to accomplish the goals set by McMaster University.
There are currently no plans for another trip for this robot, but the data collected from this trip has been beneficial to comprehend human interaction with robots.
