Let me tell you something you probably didn’t know: Energizer make phones.

Okay, now that that is out of the way, let’s get into this. We got to see first hand (and for the first time) a smartphone branded under Energizer at the ShowStopper‘s event ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. energizer phone mobile world congress

The smartphone runs stock Android. The P16K runs using 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. The phone is also fast-charge ready and is sporting a 13MP dual camera rear setup and a 5mp front facing camera. The display is nothing special with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 which is full HD+. With a processor of Hello P23 clocked at a speed of 2.35 Ghz.

The real selling point of this phone, as expected of Energizer is the battery.  It is powered by a whopping 16,000 mAh battery, this is 4 or 5 times bigger than you would see on the market’s most compelling devices. The Energizer P16K Pro’s supercharged battery is said to give you up to 40 days of standby time.

Battery compared to other phones:

iPhone X has a 2,716mAh battery and the Galaxy S9 has a 3,000mAh battery.

Verdict:

After briefly using the phone and reading its specifics, we have come to the decision that it is NOT a great phone and can’t be considered a flagship device, although the battery is very substantial. If you are looking for a phone with a great battery life, you have come to the right place.

Is battery life the most important part of a phone? Will you buy a phone just for great battery life? Tell us in the comments below!
