Best selfie spots in Malta


Selfies….Stessu call them what you want and like them or not they’re here to stay. We put together a list of the top 10 selfie spots in Malta and Gozo.

Blue Lagoon
Crystal clear blue waters (hence the name), Sun and sand, the Blue Lagoon has the perfect recipe for an incredible selfie spot…just don’t forget the sunscreen.

Azure Window
One of the most popular selfie spots in Gozo. There are probably more selfies with the famous rock formation then outtakes on gadgets…well almost. Best to enjoy it while you can though as the window will soon end up looking like the Luqa monument

The silence of the Silent City is frequently broken by the sounds of camera shutters. Another beautiful and tranquil location, the city is very popular with tourists and locals looking for the perfect pic.

Cafe del Mar
If you like selfies, sunsets and parties Cafe del Mar is the place for you. One of the most popular party venues in Malta during the Summer months. Taking a selfie with the Sun setting in the background is practically mandatory.

The Point (specifically the bridge at The Point)
The bridge serves as a perfect vantage point (pun intended) for a great selfie. A selfie from here comes with a great backdrop; Valletta.


LOVE sign
Nothing says “I love you” like the perfect selfie. The “LOVE” sign located in Sliema rivals the famous “Amsterdam” sign in selfie popularity…or not…but it’s still quite popular nonetheless.


St Peter’s Pool
A beautiful, natural swimming pool situated it Marsaxlokk. This location was made famous last year after “Pinto” the diving dog went viral. As one can imagine a place of such popularity and fame makes for a great selfie spot.

Upper Barrakka Gardens
The Upper Barrakka gardens offer an amazing view of the Grand Harbour another great backdrop for the selfie enthusiast.


Gozo Ferry
A floating photo op, the ferry crossing the sea between Malta and Gozo is a popular selfie spot especially with groups of young folk crossing over to Gozo for the weekend.

Ghajn Tuffieha
Another one of Malta’s most popular beaches, Ghajn Tuffieha has it all; Sun, sand, sea and spectacular views. Groups of friends can be seen constantly snapping away whilst soaking up some rays.
