Now that, to use Uncle Walt’s words, would be a true treasure. And thanks to Malta Libraries, it’s already yours. They are bringing a vast collection of fiction and non-fiction works to online portals that are free for anyone to use.
No need for a long commute, no need to carry heavy books. It’s all there, available for you on your phone, tablet, or laptop.
Malta Libraries offer a huge range to choose from: bestselling novels, children’s literature, even audiobooks and magazines. It is a true paperless library at the touch of a screen.
All you need to do is create an account at maltalibraries.gov.mt.
Once you do, you’ll be mailed a new library card to be used in any of the physical locations, and emailed information about how to access your online account and download and set up the Iguana Library App. This enables you to browse and reserve books from any of the physical locations, as well as keep track of due dates. You’ll also be notified of updates or exciting news.
Becoming a Malta Libraries member will also allow you to access and borrow from online libraries such as the Malta Libraries eBooks Service via the Libby App, for multilingual e-books, audiobooks, and magazines.
