There’s a scam using Mark Wahlberg’s face and videos, though the man himself of course has no ties to the scammer. People have been fleeced out of tens of thousands of dollars, although the actor has issued a statement distancing himself from the ploy and warning people not to register.
We’re not aware of Maltese people falling victim, however, it has been shared to some Maltese groups. From our end, we recommend you stick to his movies. Three Kings is our favourite, but The Fighter is also pretty good.
Though this might not be the most elaborate scam, it’s still easy for people to succumb, so keep vigilant and warn others when you can.
