Startup Festival Malta is back with a bang for the second year running!
Following the success of last year’s event, Malta Enterprise is once again organising a networking weekend that promises to be a great opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs, as well as for more advanced startups and scale-ups looking to strike deals with local and international angel investors and venture capitalists.
This year’s event will be held on 13th and 14th October 2022 (between 9am and 4.30pm on both days) at the historic Villa Bighi in Kalkara overlooking Grand Harbour.
Antoinette Cefai from Malta Enterprise explained that this year, the festival will especially focus on matchmaking, and on what it really means and what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
Meet potential investors and pitch your ideas
“We want to give budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to meeting potential investors to pitch their ideas,” Antoinette explained.
The event will facilitate next-level networking through an international company, Deal Room Events, which offers curated matchmaking service.
Guests at Startup Festival Malta will include Bobby Johnson, former Director of Engineering at Facebook, Caspar Lee, a British-South African YouTuber-turned investor and serial entrepreneur, and Vera Mulyani, Founder and CEO of Mars City Design, a collaborative platform created to explore the concept of livability and sustainability on Mars as well as Earth.
For all the international guests attending the event, Malta Enterprise is promoting Malta as “matchmaking heaven” and very well placed to establish itself as a hub for digital tech innovation given that it is the EU’s smallest member state in the middle of the Mediterranean, with a thriving expat community and a flourishing economy.
Startup Festival Malta will serve as a fantastic opportunity for investors to learn about the opportunities that Malta offers as a regional startup hub.
Startup Festival Malta will bring together founders, investors and stakeholders for two days of networking and exploring business opportunities.
