Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a film based on the popular tabletop role-playing game of the same name. This is the second attempt at a big-budget movie adaptation, however, unlike the 2000 version, this one is actually good…to the shock of many!

This is mainly due to two things, the first being the story and direction, which is sharp and tight, with the humor being top notch, not surprising as it comes from the team that brought the underrated “Game Night” to the screen a couple of years ago.

The second thing is the chemistry between the cast was spot-on, and I have to give a special shoutout to Chris Pine, who was definitely the standout. Although everyone plays their part great, from Michelle Rodriguez as the Barbarian Warrior to Regé-Jean Page as the honorable Paladin, the casting is amazing.

The film follows a group of unlikely heroes who team up to embark on an epic quest to recover a powerful magical artifact and save their kingdom from an evil force. The film was both really funny and exciting, with plenty of action and adventure to keep me entertained throughout. Also I have to quickly mention that the movie has one of the best heist scenes I’ve seen on screen in a long time.

One thing that really stood out to me was how much of a surprise this movie was. A lot of people didn’t expect it to be good, but it absolutely exceeded my expectations. It was a real call back to the good old fantasy adventure comedies of the 80s and 90s, such as The Princess Bride and Willow, which I really appreciated.

All in all, I had a great time watching Dungeons and Dragons: Honor among Thieves, and I’m really hoping for a sequel, honestly I cannot really explain how much fun I had with this movie, this is what going to the cinema should be about, fun and entertainment, it was pure magic!

So, If you’re a fan of the fantasy genre or just looking for a fun, entertaining movie, I highly recommend giving this one a watch!
