Local photographer Emma Tranter had taken to the Maltese streets a year ago to capture the feeling of the lockdown. At the time, it was a first for the nation. Eerie beyond comparison, yet still strangely magical. “Empty” is not a term oft associated with Maltese culture. One year on, she returned to the same locations to capture that same element of mystery.
