The second edition of the long-awaited competition for startups eager to disrupt the market is finally happening and the winners are set to be announced on Friday 29th July 2022.
The 10 Pitchora finalists were selected during the initial stage of the competition. They are: Hello Adam, Indicode, Invent 3D, MARE Summit, MyMama, Tara Lois Jewellery, S O R Ġ I, Marine Hound, Trotteo, and Sidereal.

The finalists have been pitching their business concepts during the final stretch of the competition and one of the judges, Gadgets CEO Martina Zammit spoke about the need for more disruptive startups that believe in the power of innovation.
‘Need-to-have’ rather ‘nice-to-have’ value propositions
Martina is judging for Pitchora on behalf of Gadgets and Silicon Valletta. The 10 finalists are all focused on presenting solutions that can change the world for the better by presenting ‘need-to-have’ rather ‘nice-to-have’ value propositions, Martina wrote in a LinkedIn post.

“Gadgets is very happy to be supporting Pitchora for the second year running. Part of our mission is to support any initiative that promotes new business and new ideas. We believe that local startups bring new ideas to the market and Gadgets can serve as a platform for any local startup, giving them a voice and showcasing their ideas,” said Martina.
Small island, big ideas
She added that Gadgets really believes in innovation and in fact loves to think of Malta as “a small island with big ideas”.
“We encourage startups willing to rise to the challenge to change consumer habits and disrupt the market. I really believe that innovation is a critical element that will shape future societies.”
