Though it’s beginning to sound like a broken record to some, the truth is that the pandemic has hit everyone hard, and unfortunately, not all businesses are aware of the funding opportunities available to them. To mitigate that, EY Malta is hosting a webinar to discuss the array of funding opportunities for entrepreneurs to tap into.
RRF & more
RRF stands for Recovery and Resilience Facility and is a program that aims to support reforms and investments undertaken by companies based in the European Union, in the shape of €672.5 billion (in 2018 prices) in loans and grants. It’s the shot in the arm that many need at the moment.
In the event description, EY also stated that a number of other pan-European EU co-financed assistance programmes which Maltese entities can benefit from will be discsussed. Some support schemes have been created (or updated) as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and will also reflect the current stage reached in the EU’s present Multi-Annual Financial Framework (MFF).
What to expect & who should attend
Finding out which opportunities are ideal for which industry and understanding the support mechanisms are two things that sometimes put people off from applying for them in the first place. The webinar will seek to address those issues and help entrepreneurs identify local and international forms of support.
The free webinar is available for business owners, anyone in a financial capacity, or simply anyone interested in tapping into EU and local fund schemes. The three speakers are Ingo Gunar Bunzeck and Martina Micallef, who are senior manager and associate respectively with EY, and Simon Lee Barberi, who is the EY Malta EU Advisory Director.
