The IFA Most Innovative awards are a celebration of the most creative minds in various industries. This year, with 19 awards available, there were 14 different winners. Siemens, Samsung, Honor and Midea were all double winners, although there is no shame for brands such as Sony, Philips and LG to pick up gold in one category.
China once again was at the forefront of the awards, as they continue to lead the way with tech development and hugely relevant innovations for the current times.
Although COVID may have disrupted the market somewhat, it has given rise to some very interesting developments in a variety of industries. With this in mind, there’s every reason to look forward to next year’s awards and what these creative minds can come up with.
The awards themselves will be presented at the CE Summit in Guangzhou, China later this month.
Our pick from the list of winners
There are some serious contenders to pick, from the Honor MagicBook Pro BOE’s OLED flexible screen, our favourite was the Sony Alpha 7S III camera. Perfect for moviemakers, it features quick and dependable autofocusing, superb image stabilization and advanced light gathering. Its Active Mode is tailor-made for hand-held shooting, where the BIONZ XR processor accurately measures camera shake and compensates optically.
