Between the 4th and 7th of June, Hospice Malta will be hosting a virtual fun run in a bid to raise funds for Hospice Malta to continue providing free palliative care in Malta. However, this won’t be any ordinary run…
The road less travelled?
Participants can choose whether to walk, trek, run, or race across varying distances and can either plan their own route or choose one suggested by Hospice Malta. The options are a 10K race, 10K fun run or walk, 5K fun run or walk or 2K fun run or walk.
Race participants will have to post their run tracker link to the run’s event page by midnight of 7th June. All participants are encouraged to share their photos and videos to Facebook while tagging @HospiceMalta and #HospiceMaltaFunRun2021.
Raising funds for St Michael Hospice
Participants can register for the run against a donation of €10-20, depending on whether it’s a family ticket and a race or non-race event. Funds collected will go towards the construction of St Michael Hospice, a much-needed first Hospice Complex for palliative care services.
The newly refurbished building will become the main premises for Hospice Malta and is expected to help further enhance the already established palliative community services provided by Hospice since 1989. St Michael Hospice will also house an In-Patient palliative care unit complementing all the other services for a more comprehensive approach.
You don’t need to participate in the fun run to donate though. Hospice Malta is an NGO, so, if you would like to support the St.Michael Hospice Project make a donation or get in touch to learn about how you can make a difference.
