The latest in a long line of businesses claimed by COVID, some of Malta’s most famous clothing brands will be closing their doors permanently to these shores. The Arcadia brands (not to be confused with Arkadia) of Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Evans are also likely to shut down their physical doors across the globe too, retaining an online presence only.

One last chance

For many people on the island, these brands will live long in the memory as harbingers of British fashion. The current measures mean that shoppers won’t get the chance to visit the physical stores one last time, but there is the opportunity for shopping online.

Everything is on sale, with discounts of up to 70% off with free delivery for any purchases of over €45.

But it’s not the end of the line for the local mother company, Dorkins Limited. The word from them is that although it’s sad to see these brands go, that only means that something new is coming soon! They also retain their other brands of Superdry, Clarks and Marella.
