Earlier this month, Crash Bandicoot celebrated its 24th birthday, so it’s only fitting that we bring you the fantastic news that Crash Bandicoot 4 been released today, 2nd October!
Before we start…
We need to take you back to a time when the Crash series was pretty much at a rock-meets-bottom situation. Following an insanely good Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, came a series of distinctly average games that failed to reach the previously scaled heights. Aside from Crash Team Racing, it was 10 years of mediocrity, followed by another 7 years of crashing silence.
However, Sony teamed up with original developers Activision to completely rebuild the N. Sane Trilogy from scratch in terms of graphics, but keeping as many original elements to ensure that the game looked refreshed and not completely reimagined.

Very aptly named It’s About Time!, the latest edition sees villains Dr Cortex and Dr N. Tropy on the run across various dimensions. Once again it’s up to Crash and Coco to save the day. Making use of Unreal Engine 4, expect better graphics, new abilities and more playable characters! There’s also a 4-player offline mode, so you can enjoy this brand-wumping new game with your friends too, as we head for colder days!
