When you look up the term Superhero on Google you’ll find it defined as ”a benevolent fictional character with superhuman powers, such as Superman.”
A superhero is a person who does heroic deeds and has the ability to do them in a way that a normal person couldn’t. So in order to be a superhero, you need a power that is more exceptional than any power a normal human being could possess, and you need to use that power to accomplish good deeds.
The Gadgets team has teamed up with local tech shop Tronikx and are asking the public to nominate an actual real life Superhero and to provide mention to this person’s super powers.
Many people have nominated their mum’s – it goes without saying our mum’s really do have superpowers – can you imagine doing all that work raising kids and sacrificing their lives without getting paid for it! Check out some of the cutest and sometimes tear jerking posts we received in this competition. Others mentioned their better halves, whilst some even felt their kids were the real superheroes!
“Her hands held me gently from the day I took my first breath. Her hands helped to guide me as I took my first step. Her hands held me close when the tears would start to fall. Her hands were quick to show me that she would take care of it all… Like a superhero she is always there to protect, care and make me feel safe can’t see you mum due to this situation and i miss you so much xxx and i know its a very difficult too since we lost dad last month too 🙁 Happy Mother’s Day to All. Every mum is a superhero even the mummies in heaven xx” – Claudine
