45 Hour Marathon of Game Development


MITA, in conjunction with the Faculty of ICT & Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Malta; along with other local training providers is going to be hosting the second edition of Game Jam.

What is Game Jam?

Game Jam is a challenge and initiative by MITA that aims to test the students’ skill of fortitude, their ability to work under pressure and within a team.
The students’ task is to develop a serious digital game prototype in 45 hours.

The event will be going on continuously for 45 hours. Food and drinks will be provided throughout to all participants. Participants may leave and return to the event at any time; although it is not encouraged.

The selected themes for this year’s Game Jam will be given out to participants on the first day of the event.


The Event will be held from the 1st through the 3rd of December.

What can I win?

Every member of the winning team will be able to attend a workshop led by the Head of MIT Game Lab, Mr. Scot Osterweil which will be held in Austria, July 2018.
Meaning that this award will include a learning experience at Donau University; as well as flights and accommodation.
