As many of you might know, Spotify offers a premium plan called Spotify Family. This means that a single person pays €10.99 / month, and they will be able to invite up to 5 people living at the same address. This has led to some people being cheeky and inviting their friends instead to get a cheaper Spotify premium deal. Now we’re not saying go out and do this, but we can’t exactly stop you.
How Spotify Family Works
Spotify family works by having one person paying the €10.99 bill. They can then invite up to 5 people living at the same address, such as your brother, sister, or roommate. It is then obviously up to the individual to split the bill with those they’re sharing with. Similiar to how a Netflix account works (shout out to that one person who actually pays for it and shares).
You get separate premium accounts for every individual. So don’t worry about your brother’s podcast obsession cropping up in your suggestions. The only thing that is shared is that the holder of the plan can remove or add people whenever they want, so make sure to be extra nice to them.
How can you get Spotify Family?
First things first, you need to go to their website and after logging in, click on your account. In the side menu, click on “premium for family”.
From there you’ll input your payment details. After entering your details and your address, you can start inviting.
